Eden’s background
Eden’s work ethic started early – paper rounds at 11, window cleaning from 14 to 18 to put himself through college. He always knew he wanted to work in IT and telecoms, so after passing his IT Systems and Networking course, he applied for an apprentice tech support role at Selective Networks with Jonathan. That was 14 years ago, and the beginning of a career that has touched almost every corner of the business.
Early beginnings
He started on the support desk, fixing day-to-day issues, installing phone systems and dealing with customers on the ground. When Jonathan partnered with Roger in 2018 and the business began buying and selling companies, Eden naturally rose through the ranks – eventually running the support team serving 400–500 users.
HIs role at Tech Acquisitions
Today, at Tech Acquisitions, Eden is deeply involved in operations. His experience in engineering and support gives him a rare, hands-on understanding of what makes a tech business run properly. One day he’s mapping out integration plans for a new acquisition – systems, suppliers, Microsoft environments, billing platforms. The next, he’s handling compliance, or physically installing equipment – he’s never been one to shy from rolling up his sleeves. He thrives on pressure, hates being bored and loves work that changes by the hour.
Ask him what he enjoys most, and it’s the sheer variety. No two days look the same, and he wouldn’t have it any other way.
Eden at home
At home in Queensbury, Eden’s world revolves around family. He and his wife have a two-year-old daughter who he describes as “wild, boisterous and completely fearless”. Weekends are spent at parks, farms, jungle gyms and zoos – anything that burns energy and brings smiles. His bucket list includes a month in Thailand and travelling through Australia, and long term his goal is simple: do well and provide the best life possible for his family.
